Favorite Flavor Anything

The two most desired flavors I like to unleash on my taste buds are the full-bodied, high-impact, difficult-to-peel tastes of GRAPEFRUIT and POMEGRANATE.

Rain

The first and most obvious observation I made about Portland, Oregon is the amount of rain that occurs. I grew up in Ventura, California where the annual rainfall average is about sixteen inches. It was not long after moving to Portland that I realized Portland’s average annual rainfall is more than double of what I was used to. I come from a place where rain jackets are deemed unfashionable, umbrellas are preferred over hoods, and going to the carwash is a biweekly routine. The people of Portland are so accustomed to wet weather that I had to adopt new norms about rain; rain jackets are a necessity, umbrellas are a hassle, and paying to get your car washed is a joke. Most importantly, don’t bother checking the weather - more than likely it will rain.

Although, As Much

As much as I love the sun, I'm getting tired of this heat.
Although I am excited and happy to be painting for a class again, I'm also stressed out.
Although Summer has treated me right, I'm ready for Fall's love.
i've been full of love lately. FULL. in the best way possibly.
as much as i love to socialize, i've been feeling antisocial lately.
but fall is fast approaching, and connections need to be made.
i need a job. a car. and then i'll get a kitten.

 Bees ease fees.

came home with hotpockets.

DRAWN

lately, i've been drawn to this song.
it goes harmoniously well with driving along the pacific coast,
with the bass turned all the way up.

akon

H-rant: shoutout to akon for providing annoying music 95% of the time.
and perfectly catchy simple off key songs for the other 5%.
and of those 5%, 4% are for when intoxicated.

19!

the house has officially been warmed by our housewarming party. in fact it's pretty damn hot. i've been having so much fun lately, and the weather in Portland couldn't be more perfect.

i also had a great birthday. lots of friends came over. lots of drinking, smoking, and a little bit of puking for a select few including myself. ha! go hard or go home. but it was at my new house so i got to do both. this post is stupid. just wanted to tell everyone thanks for all the love and good times. this summer holds many more in the future :)

Who knew

college has completely changed my life.
i am so much more connected to myself than i ever thought i would be.
saying goodbye to these incredible people is so hard.
it is now catching up to me on the second to last day.
as i'm typing im crying my first tears.

SO BITTERSWEET

i'm so excited to be home in ventura, yet i can't wait to start my life here in portland in my new house.
i feel like i will be stuck in a transition stage for the next two weeks. from couch hopping, and packing and unpacking, traveling, and moving into a new house. not to forget i will be turning 19 at the end of this. it's like we're all forced to accept the immense amount of change thrust upon us and GROW UP. Freshman year in college was like a continuation of senior year of high school with MUCH better quality people. and at the end of freshman year you are expected to be a full grown adult. facing reality has been hard, and maybe i haven't been handling it the best way. i'm just trying to enjoy every moment i get with someone.

a lazy day like today

so much free time
i don't know what to do with my self.
and a lot of alone time.
and thinking, lots of thinking.
i'm constantly scared im going to get heartbroken
and it's keeping me from falling,
when really i should be falling down the rabbit hole already
